1. A Map with Your Adventures Marked

If the two of you have taken any memorable adventures together (or have plans for future ones), a map is a beautiful and personal way to commemorate them! You can get a classic map and mark past trips with pins, or get a scratch-off map and mark off all the places you’ve been together. When you’re done, wrap it up nicely and present it to your travel partner! There are tons of classy options available that will make this gift ultra-special.

2. A Romantic Getaway

This idea is “an oldie but a goodie,” as they say. A travel lover can hardly say no to a special trip! It doesn’t have to be a long or expensive getaway, but you should show attention to detail by planning out some special activities or choosing a nice location to stay. Make sure you have plans (and potentially reservations) for a hotel, dinner, at least one fun activity, and plenty of time to spend together.

If you need to keep it on a budget, choose somewhere within driving distance and find a hotel deal online. Then do some research on free activities in the area or find some fun couples bonding games to do in your room instead! (Hint: you can print off game sheets or use online services for free options.)

3. Plane Jewelry

Not everyone wants diamonds or other expensive jewelry–especially if they’re hitting the road frequently and could lose it. Make a meaningful but simple gesture with airplane jewelry! Two trendy options right now are necklaces and rings, but bracelets and earrings are also an option. Just be sure to get one that will hold up well to life on the road!

4. A Personal Photo Book of Your Travels Together

You don’t have to be scrapbook-savvy to create this gift. Just upload your favorite travel photos to a site like Shutterfly or Vistaprint and turn them into a beautiful book online! You can choose from pre-designed templates or customize it yourself with drag-and-drop features.

Don’t forget to add a special note for your partner at the beginning or end to make it a truly romantic gift. After ordering, your book will arrive in just a few days, ready to wrap and melt your loved one’s heart!

5. Customized or Matching Luggage Tags

There’s no shame in being “that” couple! Custom luggage tags are a sweet gesture with practical use. I love the sturdy, metal designs from Shutterfly that come with a leather, snap-closure strap. You can add pictures of each other or places you want to visit. Or keep it simple with His and Hers options!

6. The Adventure Challenge

There’s a fantastic couples’ activity book you can order called The Adventure Challenge. Each book contains a series of adventures that you can tackle together, from dinner date recipes to spontaneous painting sessions. Each activity costs between $0 to $50, but here’s the catch: you don’t know what the challenge is until you scratch it off!

It’s such a fun way to add spontaneity to your date-night routine and help you find adventure wherever you are. I like the Couples Edition because it also comes with an instant camera you can use to commemorate each experience together! Most of these won’t take you far from home, but you could easily bring it along to use on your travels as well.

7. Around-the-World Coffee Subscription

Does your travel lover also have a minor java addiction? Combine those interests with a travel-themed coffee subscription!

We love the Atlas Coffee Club, which sends you a fresh roast from a new country every month! I bought a subscription for Daniel several years ago…and we’ve been getting it ever since! (We have a bag of Brazil Coqueiro on the way as I write this. Hooray!) Each box also comes with a postcard from that country, and you can even add on teas if you like. You’ll be able to customize the subscription by roast level, bean vs. grounds, and the number of bags!

Another cool feature from Atlas Coffee is your passport portal. You can read fun facts about coffee from that country, see how many miles your coffee has traveled to get to you, and see how many “journeys” you’ve taken! Plus, every order earns you points that you can redeem for free shipping, discounts, and more. It adds a fun element to the average coffee experience.

If you’re interested in trying it, use my link, and we’ll both get $10 off coffee!

8. A Bucket-List Book to Read Together

Plan a series of special date nights around a book like The Bucket List: 1000 Adventures Big & Small. Not only do these types of books make beautiful gifts, but they also create opportunities for you to discover new adventures that interest you both! This can lead to great discussions, exciting plans, and beautiful memories together!

9. Travel Planning Journal

Some people won’t understand this, but if your partner is a planner, this gift is a perfect 10.

There are plenty of cute and classy travel planners out there, but I love this one because of all the great features. There are places for your bucket list, transportation details, budget, packing list, daily notes, and more! Plus, it’s small enough to easily fit into whatever bag your sweetheart is carrying that day.

10. A Bouquet of Map Roses

Consider a never-dying bouquet of map roses for the person who likes roses but not the waste! A gorgeous dozen will cost just a fraction of a live bouquet, and the significance of the gesture will last much longer.

I like these custom map roses from Etsy because you can choose the city or state the roses are made from! That lets you create a truly personal gift with a lot of sentimentality behind it.

If you’re looking to make a simple yet romantic gesture this year, you can’t go wrong with these great travel-themed gifts! They work for guys and girls, and most of them are incredibly budget-friendly, too. #winwin
