What personal data I collect and why I collect it

All users entering personal information into the website are asked to agree with the privacy policy. Carried Away Travels and Cochran Writing & Editing do not and will never sell your personal information to third parties. 

We collect such Non-personal and Personal Information for the following purposes:

• To provide and operate the Services;
• To provide our Users with ongoing customer assistance and technical support;
• To be able to contact our Visitors and Users with general or personalized service-related notices and promotional messages;
• To create aggregated statistical data and other aggregated and/or inferred Non-personal Information, which we or our business partners may use to provide and improve our respective services;

If you subscribe to Carried Away Travels, I will request only your first name and your email. For copywriting and editing services, I will request your first and last name and email. This helps me organize my subscribers from clients and provide personalized emails. 

If you choose to enter a business agreement concerning any writing or editing work, I will request more information, such as your first and last name, an email linked to your PayPal account, and your billing address for payment and invoice purposes.

I am not liable for the accuracy or validity of any information you provide to me, and I am not liable for errors, omissions, or delays in this information which causes loss, injury, or damage from its display or use.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on my site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, I will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Google Analytics

My website uses the Google Analytics extension to track traffic on my pages, including which pages you visit, how long you stay, and what you click on. This does not give me access to any personal information, including but not limited to name, address, phone number, or any other personal data. This information is strictly used to help me determine which pages are the most popular and working well for my website.

Advertising

I use Google Ads to provide relevant advertisements within the website. Google Ads may use cookies to provide you with advertisements that are relevant to your interests based on your previous browsing habits. I have no control over any of these cookies used by advertisers. However, I have set limitations to prevent any obscene or offensive material from appearing on the website. I reserve the right to update and modify this privacy policy at any time. Changes will take place immediately upon posting on the website. 

FTC Disclosure

I will occasionally use affiliate links in my blog posts for certain products or locations. If you click on an affiliate product I have recommended and buy it, I will make a small commission. However, this comes at no additional cost to you and allows me to continue traveling and providing you with fun content. This does not apply to the Google ads located on my pages.

I will not recommend any products to you unless I have personally tried them or believe that they will be of value to you.
