What I Write About on Carried Away Travels
I like to feature a variety of trips, events, and travel tips, many of which are budget-friendly. I also have plenty of content from the amazing area I live in: Hampton Roads, Virginia! A Little About Carrie…
The Carried Away Travels Blog (formerly known as The Mandala Traveler) is almost five years old, and I’m so thankful that my husband (and a few friends) pushed me to start sharing our adventures here. As a couple, we travel frequently, and it’s something that I’m incredibly passionate about! However, I was incredibly nervous to start writing a weekly travel blog because 1) it’s a big commitment, and 2) internet feedback can be scary and hurtful!
But this far in, I’ve received nothing but love and support from my growing readers and fellow bloggers, and I want to say “thank you!” to everyone who’s helped make this blog a reality! I love you all!
When I’m not writing for the blog, I spend my days working as a freelance copywriter and editor (whoo-hoo!) with a focus on Christian and Travel niches. That means I work with words a lot! But that’s okay because I love writing! I have a bachelor’s degree in English and Professional Writing, my work has been published across dozens of magazines and websites, and nothing makes me happier than creating something fun, engaging, and powerful with words.
My greatest hope is that whenever you visit the Carried Away Travels, you’ll have fun. I want my posts to inspire your wanderlust, solve a travel problem you’ve been having, and give you great ideas for your next vacation.
But I can’t do that if you’re not here! So, I’d like to invite you to connect with me on social media and my mailing list.
