A couple of years ago, Daniel and I discovered a sweet spot in downtown Atlanta called the Ponce City Market. This market resides in an old Sears & Roebuck building, giving the whole place a very cool industrial vibe with brick and exposed iron beams. The floors offer shopping, a massive dining hall, apartments, and even business offices. But when you reach the ROOF, there’s an unexpected surprise.
The ROOF at Ponce City Market is an epic conglomeration of activities, ranging from mini-golf and carnival games to fine dining with a view. It’s the perfect place to go hang out with friends or have a fun date in downtown Atlanta! Plus, you can spend as much or as little as you want once you’re there.
If this sounds like your kind of place, keep reading to find out more about each of the ROOF’s 5 different sections!

FAQs about the ROOF at Ponce City Market
How much does it cost? The admission fee for the ROOF is $15 per adult and $7 per child. This just includes walk-up access to everything. If you want to participate in activities, you’ll have to pay as you go. If you want unlimited gameplay at Skyline Park, it’s $30 and $22 respectively. And if you have a group of 10 or more, the price drops to $13.50/$27 per adult and $6/$20 per child.
What ages is this for? Everyone! There are activities that kids and adults will enjoy, while certain areas, like the 12 Cocktail Bar are just for adults. However, Friday and Saturday nights after 5 are for adults only, so plan accordingly.
What are the 5 areas of the ROOF? Skyline Park, RFD Social, 12 Cocktail Bar, the Rooftop Terrace, and Nine Mile Station.
How long does the ROOF take? You could literally spend a whole day here if you wanted. However, I’d recommend about 3 hours to enjoy the amusement park, eat a meal, and do whatever else you want. During the holidays, they also offer rooftop ice skating, so you’d want to reserve extra time for that.
The 5 Areas of the ROOF
The ROOF is divided into 5 different parts, each with a different theme and activity.
Skyline Park
The main event is Skyline Park, the ROOF’s amusement park. It has mini-golf, a three-story slide, a Heege Tower, and vintage boardwalk games, including a horse derby, skeeball, and break-a-plate. On the sidelines, you can also play cornhole or join a dance party with a live DJ on weekends!
Be sure to upgrade your ticket to get unlimited access to all of the fun activities and games!
Nine Mile Station
If you’re in the mood for fine dining with a skyline view of Atlanta, Nine Mile Station is the place to be! This classy rooftop restaurant offers a chic indoor eating space, as well as rooftop tables. In the colder months, guests can even book a private igloo to enjoy their meal outside, while still staying toasty.
The menu has a wide range of food, from pork belly sliders and duck confit croquettes for starters to Scottish salmon or a house burger for the entree.
RFD Social
The ROOF’s newest addition is inside the old Sears & Roebuck tower. This multi-floor venue features a gaming parlor, bar, and private event space!
The main room on the 10th floor (the Parlour) hosts the bar and game space and is completely decked out in 1920s speakeasy-style with tile ceilings and vintage furniture. It’s a fun spot to play pool and avoid any bad weather outside.
12 Cocktail & Social Club
This cocktail club is part of RFD Social, but it’s also its own thing at the same time. 12 Cocktail is located on the 12th floor or the tower, right above RFD Social’s main two floors. This exclusive cocktail club is also decked out in a vintage speakeasy style, with a very elevated feel. There is a dress code for all guests, and non-members have to make a $50 minimum spend deposit. If you really like the food and drinks and want a membership, it’ll “only” cost you $2,000 per year. But it comes with complimentary ROOF access, preferred reservations at Nine Mile Station, food tastings, and more.
Rooftop Terrace
The final part of the ROOF is the terrace. In several spots around the ROOF, you can step away from the bustle and just gaze out at the gorgeous Atlanta skyline. I absolutely love this part at sunset!
In the winter, the backside of the Terrace gets transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with rooftop ice skating rink and private igloos you can rent out!
Closing Notes on the ROOF
I’ve loved both visits to the ROOF, and would definitely go again. I have yet to try any of the restaurants, so that would be my top priority!
The events and opening hours on the ROOF change seasonally, so be sure to check out what’s happening before you go. Right now, I know there are Valentine’s events at Nine Mile Station, and during the winter, there is ice skating, etc. It gives you plenty of reasons to go back!
One thing to note is that parking can be a hassle, especially on weekends. I’d highly recommend getting there before 5 or planning to not park in the Ponce City Market lot. If you do park on site, you will have to pay for your spot by the hour, which gives you a deadline on how long you can stay. Alternatively, you can do what we did the first time and take a scenic walk down the Atlanta Beltline and enter on foot.
